Eve heard God’s Word from Adam (Genesis 2:15- 3:2 )who wasn’t deceived according to God’s word (1 Timothy 2:14). God said “Dying you shall die”
Comment
Just because the natural fallen sinful by nature descendant of Adam doesn’t like God’s word, it doesn’t make it untrue.
Comment
The Serpent might have known he could weaken Adam to sin against God by igniting his wife’s influence on her husband.
Adam was the head of his descendants and the one responsible as that head for the fall. If Adam didn’t eat the fruit, God could of given him another woman like He gave him the first after Eve died; but it was in God’s plan and decretive Will to cause the fall to glorify himself through Jesus Christ.
The Serpent might have known he could deceive Eve and cause Adam to sin via his wife’s influence by telling Eve the lies she would want to hear “ Dying you shall not die” “ for God knows in the day you eat of it, even your eyes shall be opened, and you shall become like God knowing good and evil.” Was The Serpent selling the idea that Eve could be Sovereign like God knowing Good and Evil?
Will you rely on and trust God and His word if you think under delusion that you are like Him, knowing good and evil? The truth is natural man is a slave to sin and he is free from righteousness (Romans 3:10-12) John 8:34
You might have noticed what I have noticed. There seems to be more women than men seeking the counsel of fortune tellers who are doing the deceptive work of the devil. (Deuteronomy 18) (2 Corinthians 11:14)
There seems to be a parallel to today’s relationships between the husband and wife in ungodly marriages. The ungodly woman is the head of the household contrary to God’s word. ( I’m not saying a Godly woman should submit to the headship of an ungodly abusive man, it may require separation) 1 Corinthians 11:3 1 Peter 3:1 Jesus Christ is the head of the Godly man. Can you have it any better than the Love of God? Ephesians 5:17-33
Is there a parallel between what happened in the Garden of Eden and the Free Will believer of today?
Do the Free Will doctrine believers dislike God’s word like Eve? Yes, Do the Free Will doctrine believers hate the fact that God does not desire to save each and every individual? Considering, He accomplishes all His desires.
Yes, of course, they hate the doctrine because they are trying to create their own idol god who is like them. Romans 1:30 Isaiah 44:9-20 Isaiah 29:13 Romans 1:18-32
If God desired to save everyone without exception, He would, since no one can resist His will.
They absolutely do hate God’s word.
God said in more than one verse “I will do all My desire” “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy”(Isaiah 46:10) (Psalm 115:3) (Job 23:13) (Isaiah 55:11) (Romans 9:19) (Daniel 4:35) Romans 9:15,16,18
The above verses establish that God fulfills all His desires and His word accomplishes exactly what He sends it out to accomplish and it never comes back void.
The Free Will doctrine states God desires to save each and every individual without exception; but He cannot fulfill that desire because man’s Free Will thwarts God’s plan and the accomplishing of His desire to save everyone without exception. They use the following verses
1 Timothy 2:1-2
First of all therefore, I exhort (that) petitions, prayers, supplications, (and) thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men,
for kings and all the (ones) being in preeminence, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity
Comment
The focus in the above verses is the apostle Paul wants to petition all to pray for all classes of men particularly in this instance, Kings and those being in preeminence; so they may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
They must have been neglecting in prayer the class distinction of Kings and those being in preeminence.
Revelation 7:9 shows God did not save each and every individual that has lived is living and will live. He did not save according to just a particular nation, people, language or tribe.
1 Timothy 2:4
who desires all men to be saved and to come to a full knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 4:10
for to this we also labor and (are) reproached, because we hope on (the) living God, who is savior of all men, especially (Particularly or That is) of believing (one’s).
Comment
God accomplishes all His desires except the saving of “all men” if “all men” means each and every individual without exception.
Does “All Men” mean each and every individual? It can’t mean that since every single individual that has lived, is living and will live will not be saved and God accomplishes all His desires; but according to scripture, only those children of promise chosen from before the foundation of the world found in the Book of Life will be saved from their sins .
All the children of Promise will sometime in their lifetime come to the knowledge of the Truth by the hand of God (John 3:3,5,8) and be saved. They will know they have no righteousness of their own and only in YHWH through the faith of Jesus Christ do they have a sufficient righteousness. Luke 18:13 They will know (2 Corinthians 4:6) that their salvation is conditioned solely on the atoning shed blood of Jesus Christ and His imputed righteousness alone without any contribution from the persons He represented in His death and perfect life lived. Romans 3:24 This makes God just, justifier and a savior ( Revelation 7:9) (Revelation 20:15) ( Matthew 1:21) (Romans 9:8) (John 6:37-44,65)
All men is defined in context in the above scriptures as all men without distinction of class, nation, race, language, tribes and peoples. God through Jesus Christ is the only savior of all men saved without distinction.
If the “Free Will” doctrine is true than God’s word is not true; but we know it is true because Jesus said “thy word is truth” (John 17:17)
The Free Will doctrine believers hate God’s word that is why they twist and distort the scriptures to their own destruction similar to Eve’s account with the serpent in the Garden of Eden. (2 Peter 3:6)
