Those who are circumcising the flesh like the Jews depending on their self righteous works through behavior modification to gain favor with God are still dead in their sins and trespasses against God. Isaiah 64:6 Romans 10:1-4 Ephesians 1 and 2

They are still alienated from God. Behavior modification doesn’t save anyone. Those in the flesh cannot be pleasing to God because they do not believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ that salvation is conditioned on Jesus Christ’s atoning shed blood and His imputed righteousness alone. Romans 8:8 Colossians 1:21 1 Corinthians 1:18 Mark 16:16

They aren’t doing their works out of love for Jesus Christ knowing He bought and paid to secure the salvation of His people he promised to save. 1 John 4:19 John 14:15 Matthew 1:21-23 Roman 10:1-4 Ephesians 2:8-10

God demands payment from His people for sin or perfect righteousness or a substitute’s atonement imputing His perfect righteousness to their account to satisfy God’s justice because God is a Just God and a Savior. Isaiah 45:21 Romans 3

Only one person in history is able to provide the atoning shed blood and His imputed righteousness for His people; making God a Just God and a Savior; The God/Man Jesus Christ; John 1:1-3,14,18 2 Corinthians 5:21 Hebrews 4:15 Hebrews 9:14

John 5:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Romans 2:28-29

For he is not a Jew that is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that outwardly in flesh;

but he is a Jew that is one inwardly, and circumcision is of heart, in spirit, not in letter; of whom the praise is not from men, but from God.

Deuteronomy 30:6

And Jehovah your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love Jehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

And Jehovah your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on those that hate you, who have persecuted you.

Hebrews 8:10-12

Because this is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord, giving My laws into their mind, and I will write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

And they shall no more teach each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying, Know the Lord; because all shall know Me, from the least of them to their great ones.

Ezekiel 36:26

And I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give to you a heart of flesh.

And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them .

Romans 3:20

Because by works of law not one of all flesh will be justified before Him, for through law is full knowledge of sin. Psa. 143:2

Galatians 6:12-16

As many as desire to look well in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted for the Cross of Christ.

For they themselves having been circumcised do not even keep the Law, but they desire you to be circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.

But may it never be for me to boast, except in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision has any strength nor uncircumcision, but a new creation

And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace and mercy be on them and on the Israel of God.
