Matthew 11:25-30

Answering at that time, Jesus said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of Earth, because You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes.

Yes, Father, for so it was pleasing before You.

All things were yielded up to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him .

Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, “and you will find rest to your souls.” Jer. 6:16

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

John 17:9

I pray concerning them; I do not pray concerning the world, but for those whom You gave to Me, for they are Yours.

Comment

Although in John 17:9 above, Jesus is praying for the disciples given to Him by the Father and not for the world, we can deduct Jesus would not exclude praying for All the Father gives to Him in John 6:37-39 John 17:20 that will believe into Him because they were also given by the Father to Jesus to be saved and raised up in the last day and it is the will of the Father that all given to Jesus will be saved and raised up in the last day and Jesus always does the will of the Father.

John 6:35-39, 44, 65

Jesus said to them, I am the Bread of life; the one coming to Me will not at all hunger, and the one believing into Me will never ever thirst.

But I said to you that you also have seen Me and did not believe.

All that the Father gives to Me shall come to Me, and the one coming to Me I will in no way cast out.

Comment

The ones given to Jesus by the Father come believing into Him 2 Corinthians 4:6, John 3:3,5,8

For I have come down out of Heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

And this is the will of the Father sending Me, that of all that He has given Me, I shall not lose any of it, but shall raise it up in the last day.

No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

And He said, Because of this, I have told you that no one is able to come to Me except it is given to him from My Father.

Please notice in the above verses Matthew 11:27-30 that no one is heavy laden and burdened down from the weight of their sin; until The Father gives His unconditionally chosen people to the Son and The Son reveals the Father to whom He chooses; who are the same ones as The Father gives to Him.

You will never recognize your need for a savior and acknowledge your completely corrupt imperfect nature that generates a self righteousness that is viewed by God as a menstrual cloth until God has revealed His perfect righteousness in Jesus Christ; causing you to believe through regeneration that salvation is conditioned solely on Jesus Christ’s atoning shed blood and His imputed righteousness alone without effort or work from those for whom He died and represented.

There are 2 spirits, one spirit of pride that works in the natural man, the children of disobedience, or the Holy Spirit that creates a humble heart from a newly generated spirit from above that believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is in submission to the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ and His Word.

His children of promise will no longer seek to establish their own righteousness to win favor with God; but will know that salvation is secured and solely conditioned on the work and person of Jesus Christ alone .

The work and person of Jesus Christ satisfied the justice of God for His people chosen from before the foundation of the world Isaiah 64:6 Ephesians 1:4,11 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Romans 8:28-30 John 3:3,5,8 2 Corinthians 4:6 John 6:35-65 Romans 10:1-4

No one comes believing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ unless given by The Father to The Son and The Son reveals The Father.

No one can provide a perfect righteousness and payment for sin. They must be declared righteous and justified by being purchased by the substitutionary work of the perfect sacrifice and perfect life lived of Jesus Christ, who satisfied God’s holy, just and righteous character for His unconditionally chosen people.

Belief in the Gospel of Grace that saves that salvation is conditioned on Jesus Christ alone is a gift of God.

It is totally unmerited without effort or work by those for whom Jesus Christ represented.

His people had nothing in them that would warrant being chosen and saved. The choosing was in accordance with the perfect will of God through the work and person of Jesus Christ redeeming them in accordance with the counsel of His will according to His purpose of glorifying himself and the benefit of His elect.

1 Corinthians 1:17-21

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to announce the gospel, not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ be made of no effect.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.

For it has been written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the understanding ones.” Isa. 29:14

Where is the wise? Where the scribe? Where the lawyer of this world? Did God not make the wisdom of this world foolish?

For since in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom did not know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of preaching to save the ones believing. See 1 Corinthians 1:22-31
