Jesus said He came down from heaven

John 6:37-39

All that the Father gives to Me shall come to Me, and the one coming to Me I will in no way cast out.

For I have come down out of Heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

And this is the will of the Father sending Me, that of all that He has given Me, I shall not lose any of it, but shall raise it up in the last day.

Why did he come down out of Heaven? Jesus said He came to seek and to save the one being lost.

Luke 19:10

For the Son of man came to seek and to save the one being lost.

What does it mean to be lost?

Romans 5:12

Because of this, even as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, in as much as all sinned.

Romans 3:23

for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Question– Do you know anyone that hasn’t died or isn’t dying? Is there any other set of books like the Bible that divulges this truth?

Why does it matter if you are a sinner by nature and cannot provide a righteousness to God to satisfy His righteousness?

God is perfectly Just, Righteous, Holy, cannot lie and He cannot fellowship with sinners that don’t have a righteousness equal to His. Isaiah 6, Isaiah 5:16, Titus 1:2, Revelation 5:9, Revelation 4:11, Numbers 23:19

Question

How then does a sinner escape the punishment for their sin for Misrepresenting God in his character and conduct? God is a just God and there must be punishment for sin.

There must be a perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ, God incarnate, that sheds His atoning blood in place of the ones unconditionally chosen by God from before the foundation of the world. God through Jesus Christ imputes Jesus Christ’s perfect righteousness to His people’s account at the time it is received by God given faith from above.

This makes God, just, justifier and a savior; able to save His people. This satisfies God’s character of holiness, righteousness and justice.

Before Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, God said prior “ Dying you shall die”

The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:8-10

For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

not of works, that not anyone should boast;

for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please God . For it is right that the one drawing near to God should believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to the ones seeking Him out.

You must change your mind about believing a false gospel where salvation is condition on what you think or do.

No flesh will justified by the works of law. You are a slave to sin.

No unregenerate man can stop sinning. Even a regenerate will still struggle with his flesh; but he is no longer a slave to be ruled by it

Only if Jesus sets you free are you are free indeed. John 3:3,5,8, 2 Corinthians 4:3-6, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Acts 13:48

Jesus at His return will complete the work that He starts, works and finishes in His people taken from every nation, tribe, language and people Revelation 5:9,7:9 Acts 20:28, 1 Corinthians 15

One day His people will have incorruptible spiritual bodies unable to sin. Until then, the justified by His work and person shall live by faith in the one that saves. Romans 1:16-17

John 8:34

The above verse is plain; Hebrews 11:6. You cannot please God without faith. That faith must be that

God promises to save His people from their sins conditioned solely on the atoning shed blood of Jesus Christ and His imputed righteousness alone without effort or work from those He represented. Matthew 1:21-23, Romans 4:3-8, 2 Corinthians 5:21

That faith is not your work. It is the work and gift of God. John 6:29, Ephesians 2:8-10, John 6:47, John 3:36, Philippians 1:6, 2:13, Hebrews 9:23, Isaiah 53

Jesus said He came down from Heaven. Here is who He is and what that looks like.

John 1:1-3,14,18

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Comment – He was already there in the beginning of creation because He is the person of God the Son; who is self existent

He was in the beginning with God.

All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

Comment– He is responsible for everything that was ever created

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

Comment– God The Son who created all things became flesh and revealed God to humanity.

John 1:18

No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

Comment – He was the only revelation of the true God to humanity. Fully God and fully man.

Jesus said to the Pharisees

John 5:39

You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me.

Comment Here we have people reading the Bible for the wrong reasons trying to develop their own righteousness for their salvation and they missed the point that they can’t save themselves and that the scriptures are saying only by the work and person of Jesus Christ through God given faith, can they be saved. Romans 10:1-4, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:10-12

Conclusion: We have the true God revealed in scripture (66) books. We have Jesus confirming this. “ Thy Word is truth” “ I’m the Truth”

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 17:17

Sanctify them in Your truth; Your Word is truth.

He quoted from several of the books of the Bible. Plus, we have the Word of God becoming flesh; so we see it expressed in front of us.

No one in history has been sinless except the God/Man, Jesus Christ.

No one has revealed God except for The Son. The YHWH appearances in the old covenant era were the pre- incarnate person of the Son of God and in the New Covenant era He was the incarnate person; The Son of God.

Hundreds of foreshadowed meticulous details of the coming messiah were displayed in the Old Testament and consummated thousands of years later in the New Testament.

2 Timothy 3:16

Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

Please let me know how your god revealed himself if he is different from the God revealed in scripture and in Jesus Christ.

I’m curious about learning where your god revealed himself and if He created anything. Everyone has a god. Even if your god is yourself who hasn’t created anything.

You being your own God was exactly the delusion promoted by the serpent in the Garden of Eden.

The Serpent said in Genesis “ You will be like God knowing good and evil”

Please notice if that were actually true, you wouldn’t need God and there would be at least one natural unregenerate man that was sinless if he truly had freedom from sin.

The delusion must have appealed to Eve because she ignored God’s Word.
