“Jehovah’s Witnesses”

John 17:3

And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One whom You sent.

2 Corinthians 4:6

Because it is God who said, “Out of darkness Light shall shine,” the One who shone in our hearts to give the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

Comment

Eternal life or Everlasting Life is knowing. You do not have everlasting life if you do not know The only true God and Jesus Christ, the whom He sent. You have to know what it means to know both The True God and Jesus Christ because it determines if you have everlasting life. Scripture tells us who the True God is and Jesus Christ.

God is in complete control of all thoughts and actions according to the counsel of His will; according to purpose. Proverbs 21:1

The rulers of this world didn’t know who Jesus Christ was, otherwise, if they would have known, they would not have crucified Him. 1 Corinthians 2:8

God must shine into your heart the knowledge of the the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ 2 Corinthians 4:6

John 14:6

Jesus says to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father if not through Me.

Comment– No one knows the Father unless they know the Son and believe in salvation by Grace alone through the work and imputed perfect righteousness of Christ alone because you have to go through Jesus Christ to get to the Father. Salvation is based solely on Christ’s work and person without any contribution or effort from the people He represented. If you don’t know Jesus Christ, you don’t know the Father and you will never get to the Father because the Son is the one that reveals the Father to whomever He chooses. The “Jehovah’s Witnesses” do not know Jesus Christ and believe His Gospel; therefore, they do not know the Father.

Matthew 11:27, Mark 16:16, Ephesians 2:8-10, Matthew 7:23, Romans 3, Romans 4:3-8

John 8:19

Then they said to Him, Where is Your father? Jesus answered, You neither know Me, nor My Father. If you had known Me, then you also would have known My Father.

John 8:31-32

¶ Then Jesus said to the Jews having believed into Him, If you continue in My Word, you are truly My disciples.

32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

John 8:36

Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed

John 14:6

Jesus says to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father if not through Me.

Colossians 2:9

For in Him (Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

Comment

This fullness of the Godhead is confirmed in John 1:1-3,14,18… The True God tabernacled with us becoming flesh for a sacrificial moment in time. Jesus Christ, the true God, became flesh (a man).

Therefore, He is both The True God and man. He is the eternal creator who created everything that was created.

He came out of the eternal bosom of the Father, confirming He also is eternal, who put God on display to finite man as the substitutionary sacrificial lamb for His people being saved; who are every believing one that has been given faith in the Gospel by the Father; who were given to Jesus Christ and chosen unconditionally from before the foundation of the world by the Father based on Jesus Christ’s work and person alone without any effort by those Christ came to save.

He walked among us.

The metaphor of the Son of God coming out of the bosom of the Father is to explain the account of the infinite God taking on flesh to relate to finite man. Man cannot relate to an infinite God that is Spirit John 4:24 because man is finite.

If He hadn’t emptied himself while taking on flesh Philippians 2:7-8, John 17:5 , as the God/Man, He could have and would have been able to do all that the Father can do; but He had to substitute for His people as a man, fulfilling the Law, relying on the father, as a man, paying for the sins of His people, as a man, through His shed blood, while imputing or charging His perfect righteousness, as a man, to His people’s account.

His faithfulness, as the God/Man, propitiated the anger of God against His people because of their sin; provided justification for His people, declared them righteous; based on His work alone, redeemed them and reconciled them back into favor with God; which satisfied the justice of God, making God a just God and a savior. Romans 3, Isaiah 45:21

He provided the gift of salvation by Grace alone without any effort or work from His people He came to save. Ephesians 2:8-10, John 10:11,15,26

Comment

John 1:1

The Word was God and with God. He said He was The Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end, The First and The Last, The Almighty God. Revelation 1:7-8, 22:13, 1:17-18

God regenerates His people through his spirit; giving a new heart toward the true God, delivering the gift of faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the heart. They are able to acknowledge their unrighteousness as a filthy menstrual cloth and that salvation is solely conditioned on Christ’s work alone and His imputed righteousness by His Unmerited Grace alone. John 3:3-8, 2 Corinthians 4:6, Ezekiel 36:26

So, there is no question about it…. to know the True God and Jesus Christ is to know that Jesus is Jehovah became flesh. He is Jehovah the only Savior. Isaiah 43:11

God sovereignly from above has to reveal this knowledge through regeneration of your dead spirit and heart to whomever the Father gives to Jesus John 3:3-8, Matthew 16:16-17, Matthew 11:27, Matthew 13:16, John 6:37-44

The Israelites were lacking this knowledge in Romans 10:1-4 because they were seeking to establish their own righteousness Isaiah 61:6 and did not submit to and know the righteousness of God; consequently, The Apostle Paul was praying to God for their salvation because he had a desire for them to come to the knowledge of the truth and The apostle Paul knew that God was in control of saving knowledge that Jesus Christ is the Word was God and with God, prior to the beginning of creation, who became flesh and that salvation is by Grace alone through the gift of faith alone and not of works so no man can boast. Salvation is totally a free gift of God to His people unconditionally chosen from before the foundation of the world. For the end of the law Christ for righteousness to everyone that believes. Romans 10:1-4, Ephesians 2:8-10, John 6:65, John 1:1-3,14,18, Isaiah 46:10, Romans 9:11, Proverbs 21:1

The Gospel

God promises to save His people Matthew 1:21 conditioned solely on Jesus Christ’s atoning blood and His imputed righteousness and He will lose none that the Father has given Him. Romans 3:24-27 Romans 4:3-8, John 6:37-44

His atoning blood and imputed righteousness ensured all of salvation beginning with regeneration of the heart through the spirit through to final glorification when He raises His unconditionally chosen people from before the foundation of the world based on His work alone without any effort from the sinner. John 3:3-8, John 6:37-44, Romans 9:11, 9:16, 1 Corinthians 15:40-57, Ephesians 1:4

Salvation is based on Christ’s work alone without any effort or work from His people he came to save and represent. Ephesians 2:8-10

Salvation is of the Lord to His glory alone. Jonah 2:9 Isaiah 48:11 Jesus Christ’s faithfulness through His shed blood provided payment for sin and an imputed perfect righteousness in thought, word and deed for His people he represented. Through His faithfulness He was able to provide propitiation, justification, redemption and reconciliation for His people to God This is the righteousness of God Romans 3:22-27, Romans 1:16-17, Romans 4:3-8

John 4:24

God (is)spirit, and the (ones) worshipping Him must worship in spirit and truth.

Comment

God (is) Spirit; using infinite as a word, we can conceptualize that The God Spirit is everywhere. You can only worship God in Spirit and Truth through Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ is The Way The Truth The Life and no comes to the Father except by Him. He is the only mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5

John 1:1-3,14,18

The scriptures say the Word that was God and with God created everything that was created and then The Word became flesh. He came out of the infinite eternal bosom of the Father (YHWH) making Him eternal and the one that became flesh; both God and Man. If you are eternal, you are God and YHWH in ( Hebrew) Jehovah.

This is knowing the True God and Jesus Christ. The True God became flesh. Jehovah (YHWH) became flesh. Knowing Jesus Christ is knowing He is YHWH who became flesh. You must have eternal life in order to know this. John 5:24 You must know that the eternal God became flesh to substitute for His people shedding His blood for the payment of His people’s sins and that He imputes His righteousness to His people He promised to save. Matthew 1:21

We see further proof below that the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ was YHWH (Jehovah) in the Old Covenant era that was seen and heard and the YHWH who became flesh in the New Covenant Era

John 1:18

No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, the One being into the bosom of the Father, that One declared Him. Please note: It is the Father that has not been seen at anytime.

Comment

The only YHWH (Jehovah ) that has been seen is The Son of God; pre incarnate in the old covenant era and incarnate in the New Covenant Era.

There are a number of verses in the Old Covenant Era where Jehovah (YHWH) appeared. Since only the Father has not been seen and The Son is the only one that declared Him, then that leaves, only the Son of God, as the one who appeared, that declared God, and put him on display in pre incarnate form in the old covenant era and in the incarnate form becoming flesh in the new covenant era

Please refer to the attached blog post for more scripture supporting The Son of God and the Father as both being Jehovah (YHWH)

Jehovah, The I AM, Jesus

Genesis 19:24

And Jehovah (YHWH) (Hebrew) (Standing on the earth) rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from Jehovah (YHWH) out of the heavens.

Anyone that does not believe that Jesus is the Word was God became flesh and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ has not received the shining into the heart by God of the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. His being the eternal God became flesh is an essential part of the Gospel of Christ and those that don’t believe the Gospel remain lost and have not yet passed from death to life. Mark 16:16 John 5:24 2 Corinthians 4:6 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 John 6:37-44
