The Promise To Save His People

Matthew 1:21-23

21 And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

22 And all this happened so that might be fulfilled that which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

23 “Behold, The virgin will have a babe in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel” (which translated is, God with us). Isa. 7:14

How does Jesus ( God with us) save His People?

The Word was God becomes flesh John 1:14 …He becomes His people’s Perfect Substitute in Righteousness; Thought, Word and Deed and in death. He sheds His blood on their behalf, an unblemished sacrifice, paying the price for their sin; redeeming them; receiving the punishment for their sin because without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. Isaiah 53 2 Corinthians 5:21 Hebrews 9:22

The faithfulness of Jesus Christ provides to God propitiation, justification, redemption and reconciliation through His shed blood satisfying God’s just requirement of payment for their sin in order to save His people from eternal punishment for their sin; and He, as their perfect unblemished substitutionary sacrifice, satisfied God’s requirement of perfect righteousness that is imputed to them. He regenerates them through His spirit unto faith in the Gospel of Christ. He will preserve them until their final glorification upon His return when they will receive their incorruptible sinless spiritual body demonstrating that God is a just God and a Savior; All to the glory of God; glory that he will not share with anyone or any idol. John 10:11 John 3:3-8 Romans 3:10-27 Romans 4:3-8 Romans 5:8-10 Romans 8:28-30 1 Corinthians 15:54 Revelation 4:11 Isaiah 42:8 Isaiah 45:21 Mark 16:16

He promises that all that The Father gives to Him will come to Him and that He will not cast away any of those that come that The Father gives to Him. He will give them eternal life and raise them up in the last day. He promises not to lose one of them that the Father gives Him because that is the will of the Father and He always does the Will of His Father. John 6:37-44

He promises to build His assembly (called out ones) from All that the Father gives to Him and the gates of hades shall not be victorious over her. They will come believing into Him, His work on the cross and His perfect imputed righteousness, looking for mercy knowing their unrighteousness which reveals they have passed from death to life. Matthew 16:16-18 Luke 23:42 John 5:24 Luke 18:13-14

Who shall lay charge against God’s elect, it is God who justifies through the work of Jesus Christ’s unblemished shed blood and perfect imputed righteousness; the sole condition alone for securing the salvation of His people without any contribution or effort from His people. Their salvation is certain and sure since God keeps all His promises and He promised to save His people. God controls all thoughts and actions in order to fulfill all His promises for the benefit of His Elect . Romans 8:33 Ephesians 2:8-10 Matthew 1:21 Proverbs 21:1 Romans 9:21-23 Romans 3:21-27 Romans 4:3-8

All things were planned and predestined from before the foundation of the world. Nothing can separate His people from the love of God. Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor (things) present, nor (things) to come, nor height, nor depth, or any other creature will be able to separate His people from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:38-39

He gives further promises in the verses below to His people that the Father gives to Him because All things in Heaven and Earth were given over to Him by His Father Matthew 11:27

Matthew 11:27-30

All things were given over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and to whomever the Son purposes to reveal Him.

28 Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest.

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, “and you will find rest to your souls.” Jer. 6:16

30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light

He promises to work in His people the willing and the doing for His good pleasure. Jesus says His burden is light and His yoke is easy and that His people can do all things through Him that strengthens and through the gift of faith they will overcome the world. He promises to complete the work He has begun in His people and once again will not lose one of them but will raise them up in the last day Philippians 2:13 Philippians 4:13 1 John 5:4 Philippians 1:6

He promises to set His people free from sin’s domination in this life and completely when he comes back to make them incorruptible and sinless for the new heaven and the new earth. John 8:36 1 Corinthians 15:54 Revelation 21:1

Salvation is of the LORD!

Salvation belongs to Jehovah. Your blessing is on Your people. Selah.
