Roman 10:1-4

Brothers, truly my heart’s pleasure and supplication to God on behalf of Israel is unto salvation.

2 For I testify to them that they have zeal to God, but not according to knowledge.

3 For not knowing the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God

In Romans 10:2, we discover that the unsaved Israelites were on fire 🔥 to please God from their distorted view of how to gain favor and salvation from God. They had zeal, a great energy with enthusiasm; but from Romans 10: 3, we discover the energy and enthusiasm was expended in pursuit of attempting to gain favor and salvation with God by seeking to establish their own righteousness; which demonstrated their ignorance of their unrighteousness Isaiah 64:6 and lack of knowledge of the Righteousness of God.

Romans 8:7 Exodus 20:3 Galatians 2:16 Romans 3:20 Isaiah 28:15 Isaiah 44:9-20 Genesis 2 Genesis 3 1 Corinthians 2:14 Isaiah 45:24

They lacked full knowledge of the Righteousness of God; and that only God is good and their inability to earn their salvation. Romans 3:10-11, 20 Luke 18:19 John 1:1-3,14 tells us Jesus Christ was the Word was God became flesh. Fully God and Fully Man and the Savior of the world.

Jesus was the only man that didn’t fall short of the glory of God because He was God 1 John 4:14

It is evident the unsaved Israelites did not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them because they did not have the full knowledge of the Righteousness of God. John 8:32 It is evident they did not belong to Christ because only those in-dwelt by the Spirit belong to Him. Romans 8:9

If they did have the spirit of Christ dwelling in them, they would know the Righteousness of God, John 8:32 and they would not be trying to seek to establish their own righteousness Isaiah 64:6 and they would have submitted to the Righteousness of God. 2 Thessalonians 1:8

God had not yet shined into their hearts through regeneration of the heart and spirit John 3:3-8 the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ 2 Corinthians 4:6; granting them repentance unto belief of the Gospel, 2 Timothy 2:25 , that salvation is conditioned solely on the atoning shed blood of Christ and His imputed Righteousness without any effort or work from the sinner He chose to mercy and for whom He effectually died . They did not know the Gospel of Christ was the Power of God unto salvation to every believing.

Romans 1:16-17 Romans 4:3-8 Romans 3:19-27

They were still blinded by the god of this age because 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 they were spiritually dead and because of this, they were unable to discern spiritual things because they lacked the spirit that produces spiritual discernment or understanding . 1 Corinthians 2:14

They did not know that salvation was a gift and faith in the Gospel Ephesians 2:8-10 was the work of God alone John 6:29 and did not originate from any effort or work within the sinner. John 6:44

The lost Israelites were just like the rulers of this world that crucified Jesus Christ, they both lacked this knowledge. Romans 10:1-4 Scripture tells us , if the rulers of this world had known Jesus Christ, they would not have crucified Him. 1 Corinthians 2:8

No one knows the Son except for the Father and no one knows the Father except for the Son and to whomever the Son chooses to reveal Him. The Son must set you free and if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.

In Romans 3:9-27 we see the knowledge of the righteousness of God revealed in the Gospel they were lacking; The work of Christ as an undeserved free gift of salvation through the faithfulness of Christ providing justification redemption and propitiation as the perfect unblemished sacrifice for His people unconditionally chosen from before the foundation of the world; imputing His Righteousness to their account; ( Jeremiah 23:6, 1 Corinthians 1:30, 2 Corinthians 5:21) applied through the gift of faith in that Gospel. The righteousness of God is Christ himself. Jesus Christ provided The Atonement to God for His people; the people He represented.

Acts 5:31 2 Corinthians 4:3-6 John 6:29 Ephesians 2:8-10 Romans 4:3-8 John 3:27 Romans 3:9-27 John 6:37-44 1 Corinthians 2:8 Matthew 11:27 Luke 10:22 John 8:36 Romans 9:11 Romans 9:15-23 John 3:3-8 Ephesians 1:4

If you have not come to the knowledge of the Truth, knowing the True God and Jesus Christ, the one whom he sent, and if you believe that God chose you because you first chose Him, then, you are are believing in a false god, a false Jesus and a false gospel, a weak god that cannot save because God is dependent on natural man who has no desire to come to Christ for salvation; and even what God had revealed to them of His divinity and eternal power through the created world around them was suppressed in unrighteousness.

Romans 1 1 Corinthians 2:14 John 6:44 John 6:65. 2 Corinthians 11:4 Galatians 1:8

You are believing that Jesus paid for the sins of each and every individual without exception and God is waiting for someone to do their part to be saved.

If Jesus’ sacrifice was just an offer and He died for all persons without exception, then, it would mean that Christ died and paid for the sins of some that end up in Hell.

This would make the Cross of Christ ineffectual because it would mean the Cross of Christ in and of itself accomplished nothing since the sinner must do something further to make the difference between heaven or Hell; and on that basis Jesus Christ could have ended up dying for no one; if the natural man makes the difference between Heaven or Hell; but we know from scripture that the ones coming to Jesus are given by the Father to whom he chooses to have mercy and it is not by the will of man.

If Jesus died for all persons without exception, it would not be compatible with the will of the Father that only gave a certain number of persons to The Son. Jesus always completes and is in agreement with the will of His Father. The Father didn’t give a certain number of people to Jesus to give eternal life; while Jesus died and paid the price for every individual without exception .

John 6:65 Romans 9 John 1:13-14 John 6:37-44 John 10

Waiting for natural man to respond gives way to the idea of a weakling god that cannot save and who doesn’t receive all the glory in salvation. He would have to share the glory with man. The God of the Bible promised to save His people. How could He promise if he was reliant on natural man to come to Him since he is not able to come unless it is given to him by the Father?

Matthew 1:21 John 6:37-44 Roman 9:18. John 6:65

Jesus promised to save His people. He promised not to lose one the Father gave Him and He promised to raise them up in the last day. His people must be unconditionally and unmeritoriously chosen and given to Him by the Father and those are for whom he effectually died.

John 17:3 2 Thessalonians 2:1014 John 15:16 Jeremiah 1:5 John 13:18 Galatians 1:8 2 Corinthians 11:4 John 6:65 John 10 John 6:37-44

The Father chooses. The Son redeems those the Father chooses. The Spirit regenerates those the Father chooses and the Son redeems. All are unconditional gifts from God without any effort from those He unconditionally chose from before the foundation of the world and regenerated in time unto belief of the Gospel of Jesus Christ unto good works.

John 15:19 Ephesians 1:4-11 Romans 3:27 2 Thessalonians 2:14

3 For not knowing the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

4 For the end of the law is Christ for righteousness to everyone that believes.
