2 Timothy 4:1-4
Therefore, I solemnly witness before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, The (One) being about to judge (the) Living and dead (ones) (at) His appearance and His kingdom:
Romans 2:16
preach the Word, stand by seasonably, unseasonably, convict, warn, encourage with long suffering and teaching.
For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up to themselves teachers tickling the ear;
And (they) will turn away the ear from the truth and will be turned aside to myths.
Revelation 20:1-15
1. And I saw an angel coming down out of Heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain on his hand.
2. And he laid hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent who is the devil, even Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3. and threw him into the abyss, and shut him up, and sealed over him, that he should not mislead the nations any more, until the thousand years are fulfilled. And after these things, he must be set loose a little time.
4. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them. And judgement was given to them, and the souls of the (ones) having been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus, and because of the Word of God, and who had not worshipped the beast nor it’s image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5. But the rest of the dead ( ones) did not live again until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
6. Blessed and holy (is) the (one) having part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him a thousand years.
7. And whenever the thousand years are ended, Satan will be set loose out of his prison,
8. And he will go to lead array the nations in the four corners of the earth, God and Magog, to assemble them to war, whose number (is) as the sand of the sea.
9. And they went up over the breadth of the land and encircled the camp of the saints and beloved city. And fire from God came down out of heaven and devoured them.
10. And the devil leading them astray was thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet (were) And they were tormented day and night to the ages of the ages.
Comment: being thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone means torment day and night into the ages of the ages
11. And I saw a great white throne, and the (One) sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled; and a place was not found for them.
Comment: Regenerate believers from above John 3:3,5,8 don’t flee from the one sitting on the throne and they have a place prepared for them by Jesus because they have been generated from above unto belief of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20 2 Thessalonians 2:13 John 14:13 Mark 16:16 2 Timothy 4:8 John 14:3
God promises to save His people. Matthew 1:21 He effectually paid for the sins of His promised people with His atoning shed blood and His imputed righteousness. John 10 Roman’s 3 & 4 They know they have no righteousness of their own Isaiah 64:6 Luke 18:13 Isaiah 45:21 Luke 23:39-43 and can not satisfy God’s justice and that He will have mercy on whom chooses to have mercy. Romans 9:15,18 Romans 3:20 Roman 1:17 Jesus was their substitute and took their punishment for their sins. They strive to keep His commandments out of Love for what He did for His promised people; securing their salvation conditioned solely on His work and person. John 14:15 John 6:37-44,65
12. And I saw the dead (ones), the small (ones) and (the) great (ones), standing before God. And the books (plural) were opened. And another book (singular) was opened, which is the (book) (singular)of life. And the dead (ones) were judged out of the (things) written in the books (plural), according to their works.
Comment: The dead were judged out of the books (plural) according to their works. Where are the living that are judged in the above scripture reference 2 Timothy 4:1-4 ? Romans 2:16
13. And the sea gave up the dead (ones) in it. And death and hell gave up the dead (ones) in them. And they were each (one) judged according to their works.
14. And death and hell were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.
15. And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire
Comment: Here we discover that if the living were judged, (I see no reference to the living ) they were not judged according to their works to determine their salvation because they were saved from the Lake of Fire because they were found in the Book of life (Chosen in Him, Jesus, from before the foundation of the world.) their salvation was conditioned on Jesus’ atoning shed blood and His imputed righteousness alone Ephesians 1:4
God promised to save His people (Matthew 1:21) conditioned on His atoning shed blood and His imputed righteousness alone and not according to their works. He purchased and redeemed His people without any effort or work from them; but conditioned their salvation solely on His work and person alone.
It is God that works in His people the willing and the doing for His good pleasure and He will complete that which He started. Philippians 2:13 Philippians 1:6 Acts 20:28 Revelation 7:9 Romans 3:24 John 6:37-44,65
