Joseph Smith’s testimony

“The Prophet wrote: ‘I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!’ [Joseph Smith—History 1:17].

Deuteronomy 18:20

20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, that which I have not commanded him to speak, and who speaks in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

21 And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah has not spoken?

22 When a prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah, if the thing does not happen and come about, that is the thing which Jehovah has not spoken; that prophet has spoken it proudly; you shall not be afraid of him.

Joseph Smith, The first proclaimed prophet of the Mormon church known as The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints ….claims to have seen God the Father and His Son at the same time; but the Bible says different in John 1:18 ..The inspired verse says no one has seen God the Father at anytime; only the Son has declared Him who is in the bosom of the Father.

Therefore, Joseph Smith was either fabricating the encounter or the spirit visitation was a demon impersonation.

John 1:18

No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, the One being into the bosom of the Father, that One declared Him.

Comment

God the Father is the one that has not been seen at any time. The one that was into the eternal bosom of the Father the only begotten Son declared Him

John 5:37

37 And the Father, the One having sent Me, has Himself borne witness about Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor have you seen His form.

Acts 7:55

But being full of the Holy Spirit, looking intently into the heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right of God.

Comment

Stephen seen the glory of God; but there is no reference to a bodily form of the Father as Joseph Smith claimed. Jesus said you have not seen His form or His voice.

Comment

Some have said it was just the unbelieving Jews Jesus was talking to in John 5:37 who hadn’t seen the Father’s form and heard his voice but according to John 1:18 no one at anytime has seen God the Father and it says no one has seen God at anytime except the Son who is the bosom of the Father has declared Him.

So, the only eternal Jehovah that has been seen is the Son incarnate or pre incarnate in the old covenant era Genesis 19:24 (KJ 3)

Genesis 19:24

24 ¶ And Jehovah ( standing on earth) rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from Jehovah out of the heavens.

John 1: 1-3,14, 18 In the beginning was The Word and the Word was with God and The Word was God and The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. The Word being God is eternal by definition being the creator of all things created. John 1:18 also proves that The One that declared God in flesh who came out of the eternal bosom of the Father cannot be a created being; since, The Father is eternal and His bosom is eternal ; not created. Plus, the Word which was God created everything that has ever been created.

Therefore, Satan cannot be the brother of Jesus as the Mormons claim since Jesus was the creator of Satan before The Word became flesh. The Word which was God was already there in the beginning before He created all things and there wasn’t one thing created that wasn’t created by Him.

To say Jesus Christ is the brother of Satan is blasphemy. The Mormon church has a false christ and a false god and a false gospel that cannot save.

The True Gospel – God promises to save his people conditioned solely on The Atoning shed blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ alone without any contribution of effort or work from those chosen from before the foundation of the world. God gets the glory of all of salvation from regeneration to final glorification at the resurrection of all he came to save and the salvation of His people is by the work of Christ alone. Matthew 1:21 John 6:37-44, Ephesians 2:8-10, John 6:29, Romans 1:16-17, Romans 4:3-8, John 3:3-8, Romans 9:11, Mark16:16, Romans 8:28-31, Romans 3:20-27, Ephesians 1:5,11, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Acts 13:48, John 10:26, John 8:43

2 Corinthians 11:14

And it is not marvelous, for Satan transforms himself into an angel of light?

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

John 17:3

And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One whom You sent.

John 17:17

¶ Sanctify them in Your Truth; Your Word is Truth.

Comment

It is Jesus Christ that gives life to the ones that come to Him. Only the ones The Father gives to Him come to Him and He, Jesus, will not lose any of it. He will raise up all that the Father gives to Him in the last day John 6:37-44

John 5:39-40

You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me.
40 And you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

2 Corinthians 4:6

Because it is God who said, “Out of darkness Light shall shine,” the One who shone in our hearts to give the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16
