O Foolish Galatians…

God shines into the heart 2 Corinthians 4:6

2 Corinthians 4:6

Because it is God who said, “Out of darkness Light shall shine,” who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

Galatians 1:8

But even if we, or an angel out of Heaven, should announce a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed.

Galatians 3:1-3

O foolish Galatians, who bewitched you not to obey the truth, to whom before your eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed among you, crucified?

This only I desire to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of law or by hearing of faith?

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, do you now perfect yourself in the flesh?

Romans 3:20

Because by works of law not one of all flesh will be justified before Him, for through law is full knowledge of sin. Psa. 143:2

Galatians 2:16

knowing that a man is not justified by works of law, but that it is through faith of Jesus Christ (we also believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith of Christ and not by works of law, because all flesh will not be justified by works of law). Psa. 123:2 (KJ3 translation)

Matthew 11:27-30

All things were yielded up to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him .

Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, “and you will find rest to your souls.” Jer. 6:16

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light

Comment: Once, The Father gives His people to Jesus chosen unconditionally from before the foundation of the world and the Son reveals the Father to the ones given, then, like the tax collector below, their reaction will be similar to ones laboring and being burdened down with their sin and the sin of the world. John 6:35-65 John 10:15,26 Ephesians 1:4,11

They are the ones the father gives to Jesus and all come to Jesus for rest believing the Gospel; knowing Jesus Christ is the one that can justify them by His work and person through His mercy.

Luke 18:13

And standing at a distance, the tax collector would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, the sinner!

Comment: When God the Father gives you to Jesus (John 6:37) to be saved by His shed blood and imputed righteousness and when Jesus reveals the father to your heart (Matthew 11:27), you will know how crappy you are in thought, word and deed and that your righteousness in thought, word and deed does not meet God’s standard and that your self righteousness is nothing more than a filthy menstrual cloth (Isaiah 64:6).

You will then cry out to God through Jesus Christ for mercy knowing the perfect righteousness of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ( Luke 23:39-43)

I hope you don’t believe that salvation is conditioned on you in any way because salvation is a total free gift of God conditioned on the atoning shed blood of Jesus Christ and His imputed righteousness alone which is received by God’s gift and work of faith. (John 6:29)

Comment: Does God save His promised people conditioned on anything self generated in them or from them? (Romans 3:24)

He imputes His righteousness to satisfy God’s justice received by the instrument of a God given work of faith. God shines into the heart the illumination of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ; demonstrating God’s justice has been satisfied and His wrath has been propitiated. This is when His promised people, taken from every nation, even tribes, languages and peoples, pass from death to life (Romans 4:3-8) John 5:24 Romans 3 Acts 20:28 Revelation 5:9,7:9 John 3:3,5,8 John 1:12,13

Ephesians 2:8-10

For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

not of works, that not anyone should boast;

for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

The one believing and being baptized will be saved. And the one not believing will be condemned.

Mark 16:16

Matthew 1:21-23

And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

And all this happened so that might be fulfilled that spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

“Behold! The virgin will conceive in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel” (which translated is, (God with us). Isa. 7:14

2 Thessalonians 2:13

But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth,
