God commands all men to repent( change the mind from the false to the true) in

Acts 17:30

30 Indeed, therefore, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now strictly commands all men everywhere to repent,

31 because He set a day in which “He is going to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness,” by a Man whom He appointed; having offered faith to all, having raised Him up from the dead. Psa. 9:8

We know from scripture that God’s commands alot but we also know that the Law’s purpose is to demonstrate how helpless we are in being able to please God and that the Law’s intent is and was to bring us to the full knowledge of sin and drive us to the work and person of Jesus Christ as our only grounds of salvation and that by trying to seek to establish our own righteousness, no flesh will be justified

Romans 3:19,20

19 ¶ But we know that as many things as the law says, it says to the ones within the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be accountable to God.

20 Because by works of law not will be justified all flesh before Him, for through law is full knowledge of sin. Psa. 143:2

We know from Genesis 2:17 that God told Adam if you eat of tree of the knowledge of good and evil, “Dying you will die” The result was Spiritual death and eventual physical death. “Dying you shall die”is a perfect translation (KJ3)because it describes the process of dying and the eventual physical death.

1 Corinthians 2:14 supports the fact that spiritual death came …. simply demonstrated in that all became liars like their father the devil…. John 8:44 and the natural man does not accept the things of the spirit because he is spiritually dead and can’t discern spiritual things.

He thinks the plan of salvation through the cross of Christ is foolishness. Salvation based solely on God’s sovereign choice to whom he chooses to have mercy on through the work and person of Christ as the only condition of salvation is complete foolishness to the natural man. He doesn’t accept that he is void of a righteousness of his own to satisfy God. Isaiah 64:6,1 Corinthians 1:18, Romans 9:15,18, Romans 3:24,26, 4:6-8

We find in John 3:3-8, Ezekiel 36:26 that unless one is regenerated with a new spirit and new heart he will not see or enter into the kingdom of God and that God is sovereign over who is regenerated and who will come to the full knowledge of the truth.

2 Corinthians 2:14, Romans 10:1-4, Romans 9:16, Romans 9, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, John 6:37-44,John 17:3, John 8:32

It is impossible for the natural man to come to Repentance ( a change of mind) from his desires to follow and walk after the flesh, false doctrine, false Christs, false Gods, false gospels and false religions until he is given back that which was lost in the Garden of Eden, the spirit, so he is able to discern spiritual things Repentance ….a gift of God . Galatians 1:6-24, 2 Corinthians 11:4, Hebrews 12:17, Romans 8:9

John 6:65

And He said, Because of this, I have told you that no one is able to come to Me if it is not given to him from My Father.

Romans 10:20

20 But Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by the ones not seeking Me; I became manifest to the ones not inquiring after Me.” Isa. 65:1

Isaiah 65:1

1 ¶ I have been sought, not by those who asked. I have been found, not by those who sought Me. To a nation not calling on My name, I said, Behold Me! Behold Me!

Acts 11:17,18

17 Then if God gave the same gift to them as also to us, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, and I, who was I to be able to hinder God?

18 And hearing these things, they were si- lent and glorified God, saying, Then God also gave to the nations repentance unto life.

Acts 5:31

This One God has exalted as a Ruler and Savior to His right hand, to give to Israel repentance and remission of sins

2 Timothy 2:25

25 in meekness instructing the ones op- posing, if perhaps God may give them re- pentance for a full knowledge of the truth,
