God will have mercy on whom He wills and hardens…

Romans 9:16-18

So, then, it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of the One having mercy, of God.

17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very thing I raised you up, so that I might show forth My power in you, and so that My name might be publicized in all the earth.” Ex. 9:16

18 So, then, to whom He wills, He shows mercy; but to whom He wills, He hardens.

19 You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will?

20 Nay, rather, O man, who are you, the one answering back to God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? Isa. 29:16

21 Or does not the potter have authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make one vessel to honor, and (to make) one to dishonor?
Jer. 18:6

22 But if God, desiring to display wrath, and to make His power known, endured in much long-suffering vessels of wrath having been fitted out for destruction,

23 and (in order) that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,

Comment

In Romans 9:11, before Jacob or Esau had done anything good or bad, God loved Jacob and hated Esau bringing to notice God’s unconditional mercy and election of one and unconditional hardening of the other. In Romans 9:20-22 God, as the Sovereign Potter, has the right to make one vessel of mercy and to make one vessel fitted out for destruction in order to make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy prepared beforehand.

Luke 6:45

The good man brings forth the good thing out of the good treasure of his heart. And the evil man brings forth the evil thing out of the evil treasure of his heart, for his mouth speaks out of the abundance of his heart

We know from Mark 16:16 whoever does not believe the Gospel of Christ will be condemned. We know from the scriptures below that God generates a new heart and a new spirit in His people by shining into the hearts of His people the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ unto belief of the Gospel. John 3:3-8, 2 Corinthians 4:6, Ezekiel 36:26 2 Thessalonians 2:13

So, out of the heart by way of the mouth one brings forth words depicting a false Christ, a false gospel and a false god or The True Christ, The True Gospel and The True God. One brings forth the good treasure of his heart and the other the evil treasure of his heart. Luke 6:65, 2 Corinthians 11:4, Galatian 1:8

We know from scripture out of the regenerated heart, they will speak from the heart belief in the True Gospel of Jesus Christ which reflects they have been generated by God. John 3:3-8, Luke 12:8

They will not ever after regeneration profess a false gospel because Jesus said My sheep hear my voice and they follow me and they will never follow a stranger (false prophet or teacher). John 10:4-5

Only those people given by the Father to the Son will come to the Son believing into His work and person as the only condition for salvation and only those Jesus will have given eternal life. God promises to save His people. He will build His assembly and the gates of hades will not prevail against her Matthew 1:21, Revelation 7:9, John 6:37, Matthew 16:16-18

Jesus only laid down His life for His sheep; securing their salvation. His sheep receive the benefit of His propitiation of God’s wrath through His substitutionary sacrifice that satisfied God’s justice through His perfect sacrifice and imputed righteousness to His people.

This provided justification, redemption and atonement for His people He promised to save. The same sheep that were Sovereignly chosen unconditionally from before the foundation of the world would be the ones, in time, shown mercy.

None of the ones given by the Father to the Son will be lost. God will preserve His people and Jesus will raise them up in the last day. John 3:3-8, Ezekiel 36:26, 2 Corinthians 4:6, John 10:4-5, John 10:11, 25, 26, 27, 28, Ephesians 1:4, John 6:37-44, Romans 9, Matthew 1:21,23, John 17:3, John 6:37-44

I Corinthians 2:14

But a natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Comment

We know from above in 1 Corinthians 2:14, the natural man is spiritually dead and does not receive the things of the spirit and consequently, because he is spiritually dead, He is unwilling and unable to come to Christ for salvation believing the Gospel; that salvation is a sovereign gift of God to His people conditioned solely on the work of Jesus Christ and His imputed righteousness without any contribution from the sinner. Ephesians 2:8-10, Ephesians 1:4, Romans 9:11, John 5:39-40, Romans 3:9-27, Romans 4:3-8, Romans 8:28-39. John 6:65

Matthew 7:13-20

Go in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are the ones entering in through it.

14 For narrow is the gate, and constricted is the way that leads away into life, and few are the ones finding it.

15 ¶ But beware of the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inside they are plundering wolves.

16 From their fruits you shall know them. Do they gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

17 So every good tree produces good fruits, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruits.

18 A good tree cannot produce evil fruits, nor a corrupt tree produce good fruits.

19 Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire.

20 Surely from their fruits you shall know them.

Luke 6:45

The good man brings forth the good thing (fruit) out of the good treasure (fruit) of his heart. And the evil man brings forth the evil thing (fruit) out of the evil treasure (fruit) of his heart, for his mouth speaks out of the abundance of his heart

John 6:65

65 And He said, Because of this, I have told you that no one is able to come to Me if it is not given to him from My Father

One of the most famous evangelists, Billy Graham, it is estimated, he preached to 2.2 billion people over his lifetime. The Bible says we are to beware of false prophets that come in sheep’s clothing and we are to judge them by the fruit that comes out of their mouth that is generated out of the heart. The good tree produces good fruit and the bad tree produces evil fruit.

Below are 4 quotes that will reflect the evil fruit that came out of the mouth that originated in the heart that is contrary to scripture and the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Quote # 1

“Because of man’s free will, it is obvious by the very definition of things that man can deny the will of God and frustrate His benevolent plans.”

BIBLE SCRIPTURE John 6:65 John 3:27 1 Corinthians 4:7 Romans 9:16 Proverbs 16:9 Isaiah 46:10 Romans 9:19 John 1:12-13 John 6:44 John 6:37 Psalm 115:3 Job 23:13, Daniel 4:35

Quote # 2

“Unfortunately, God has no power over the will of man. That is to say, He cannot save a person against His will, but at the same time He is not willing that any should perish. He has made it possible for all men to be saved, but the Bible indicates that salvation depends on man’s willingness to be saved. It would be a kind of tyranny if God saved people against their will.”

BIBLE SCRIPTURE Psalm 110:3 Daniel 4:35 Romans 9:16-18 Exodus 4:21 Exodus 7: 3 Exodus 7:13 Exodus 7:22 Exodus 8: 19 Exodus 8:32 Exodus 9: 7 Exodus 9:12 Exodus 10: 1 Exodus 10:20 Exodus 10:27 Exodus 11:10 Exodus 14: 4 Exodus 14:8 Deuteronomy 2: 30 Deuteronomy 32: 39 Joshua 11:20 1 Samuel 2:6-8 1 Samuel 2:25 2 Samuel 17:14 2 Chronicles 10:15 2 Chronicles 25:20 Nehemiah 9:6 Job 9:5-10 Job 12:14-25 Job 23:13-14 Psalm 115:3 Job 28:24-27

Quote # 3

“ Christ will not compel you. He doesn’t force His way into anybody’s life. He stands at your heart’s door and asks you to open the door. You can say no to Christ. You can shake your fist at Him if you want to and there’s nothing He can do about it, because he gave you a will of your own… Its a matter of personal choice.”

BIBLE SCRIPTURES Psalm 14:1-3 Romans 9:7-14 John 6:44 Romans 9:16 Romans 3:10-12 See Blog Posts “ God desires All Men Saved” “ I stand at the Door and Knock” John 6:65, John 3:3-8 Ephesians 2:8-10 John 10:26 Romans 8:33 Romans 8:28-30, Proverbs 21:1

Quote # 4

“Don’t pray for these people who have come forward. You may have prayed for them before and that is good. You can pray for them later on, and that will be good too. But right now prayer is useless, for not even God can help them. They must accept Christ of their own free will, all by themselves, and God has no power over the will of man.

Comment

According to Billy Graham, God is not sovereign over man’s will. He says “God has no power over the will of man” …. This makes man god since God is not Sovereign over his creation. In Romans 10:1-4, The Apostle Paul appeals to God for the salvation of the Israelites who did not know the righteousness of God and were seeking to establish their own righteousness which the Bible says is filthy rags and they did not submit to the righteousness of God. Isaiah 64:6 If God wasn’t in control of who and when someone is saved, why would the apostle Paul pray to God on their behalf?

Billy Graham said that God can’t interfere with the will of the people that came forward and that they must accept Christ of their own free will.

Billy Graham’s God and The one he sent, Jesus Christ, is not described by him according to scripture and what he is saying is blasphemous because he is creating a god in his own liking and distorting the attributes of the True God through Jesus Christ.

Eve’s desire to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was partially because of her prideful attraction to the delusion offered by the Serpent of becoming like God. That delusion of being like God, knowing, must have been solidified in fallen natural man’s nature, since now he believes he has freedom from God through the delusion of having the knowledge of good and evil; not knowing that in fact he is now evil by nature, knowing evil by becoming evil while once knowing good while in the protective environment of God previously being in the Garden of Eden

John 6:65

65 And He said, Because of this, I have told you that no one is able to come to Me if it is not given to him from My Father

John 6:44

44 No one is able to come to Me if not the Father, the One having sent Me, draws (drags) him, and I will raise him up in the last day
