Ezekiel 18:23,32 The Lord Jehovah has no Pleasure in the Death of the Wicked

Do your ears hear that The Lord Jehovah takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked? He hates sin and hates all workers of iniquity. Without Faith it is impossible to be pleasing to God or in other words it is impossible for the wicked unbeliever in the Gospel of Christ to bring pleasure or delight in their Process of “Dying you shall die” ( death) Ezekiel 18:23,32 Genesis 2:17 Psalms 5

Comment

Jehovah tells them to turn. Will they turn? Will the unregenerate turn? Ezekiel 18:23,32

John 3:3

LITV(i) 3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.

KJ3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, If one is not generated from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God

John 3:5

LITV(i) 5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth out of water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.

KJ3 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, If one is not generated out of water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:8

LITV(i) 8 The Spirit breathes where He desires, and you hear His voice; but you do not know from where He comes, and where He goes; so is everyone who has received birth from the Spirit.

KJ3 The Spirit breathes where He desires, and you hear His voice; but you do not know from where He comes, and where He goes; so is everyone having been generated from the Spirit.

Comment “ The spirit breathes where He desires” So, is it safe to say the turning of the persons in Ezekiel 18:23,32 will happen if Jehovah desires? Jehovah always does what He desires. Job 23:13

John 3:8. 2 Timothy 2:24-26 Ezekiel 36:26 John 3:3,5,8 Psalms4-6 Ezekiel 18:23,32 John 6:29 John 6:44,65 Isaiah 43:11-12 John 8:43 John 10:26 Romans 3:20 Matthew 1:21 Hebrews 9:22 Romans 3 John 14:15 Isaiah 43:11 Isaiah 45:24 Isaiah 45:21 Isaiah 64:6 John 14:15-31

Until God grants His people repentance, a change of mind, faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ that salvation is by His Atoning Shed blood and His imputed perfect righteousness alone; declaring His people righteous and justified, giving a new heart, which changes the mind, which changes the thoughts, they won’t turn.

Romans 4:3-8 Ephesians 2:1-10 Ezekiel 36:26 John 3:3,5,8 John 6:21 Revelation 17:17 Proverbs 21:1 Psalms 105:25

Someone dead spiritually towards the Truth , Jesus Christ, has no desire to move towards something that is contrary to his thoughts that come out of his nature with a stony heart inherited from his father the Devil through the imputation of Adam’s sin. 1 Corinthians 2:14 John 8:43-44 Matthew 7:11 Ephesians 2:1-3 Colossians 2:13 Romans 8:6 Matthew 8:22 1 Corinthians 1:18 Romans 3:10-12 1 John 3:14 1 Timothy 5:6 John 3:19 Genesis 2 Genesis 3 Romans 5:1221

Free Will advocates hate the doctrine of the efficacious effectual work of the Cross of Christ that secured the salvation of His people unconditionally chosen from before the foundation of the world according to purpose without any effort from them. God makes His people a new creation in Christ Jesus.

CommentIf the Free Will advocates could explain how one person comes to believe the True Gospel and another doesn’t come to believe, I would listen; but to my knowledge only the Sovereign Grace believers can answer that question from scripture. Scripture presents a message of man’s fallen nature that is contrary to the concept of natural man having a Free Will. The free Will concept creates a false gospel where The Atoning shed blood of Jesus Christ didn’t guarantee anyone’s salvation until the sinner does something and based on that premise, it is possible, that no one would be saved and Jesus’ promise to save His people could fail. So, Free Will is not biblical and a pipe dream for the sinner because God keeps all His promises. Salvation of His people is the complete work of God guaranteed from generation from above to final glorification at His return. Jonah 2:9 John 3:3,5,8 John 6:37-44,65 Ephesians 2:8-10 Jeremiah 1:5 Romans 10:1-4 Galatians 1:15-16 John 6:29 John 6:37-44,65 Romans 9 Romans 8 John 5:21 Genesis 2:17 Ephesians 2:5 Matthew 1:21 Philippians 1:6 2:13 Matthew 16:18

Consequently, These scriptures in Ezekiel 18-23,32 have nothing to do with Free Will and here is what the following scriptures say below

Romans 3:10-12

10 according as it is written, “There is not a righteous one, not even one!”

11 “There is not one understanding, there is not one seeking God.” Ephesians 2:1-2 Galatians 5:18-26 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

12 All turned aside; together they became worthless, not one is doing goodness, not so much as one!” LXX-Psa. 13:1-3

Then in Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to be pleasing to God. For it is necessary for the one drawing near to God to believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to the ones seeking Him out.

Comment- Faith is an unmerited effortless gift by Grace worked by God through His Word and Spirit. Then the Faith of Hearing, and Hearing through the Word of God. His spirit makes you alive when hearing the Gospel unto belief Romans 10:17 John 6:29; Ephesians 2:8-10 Ezekiel 36:26 John 5:21,24 Matthew 13:16 Matthew 16:17 Matthew 16:27

So, how are these persons in Ezekiel 18:23,32 going to turn unless God gives the turning? Proverbs 21:1 Ephesians 2:8-10

Since Faith is a gift, how are these persons in Ezekiel 18:23,32 going to turn without the gift of faith? How is God going to become a rewarder of those that seek Him when no one seeks Him?

Romans 3:10-12 above says no one seeks (the true )God

John 3:3,5,8 says you must be generated from above to see the kingdom of God and the spirit blows where it desires. Hebrews 11:6 says it is impossible to do anything pleasing or (delightful) to God without faith and He becomes a rewarder of the one seeking Him out;

Comment– Repentance is granted or given by God 2 Timothy 2:24-26 Acts 5:31 Ezekiel 36:26 Romans 2:4 Acts 11:1

2 Timothy 2:24-26

24 But a slave of the Lord ought not to quarrel, but to be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,

25 in meekness instructing the ones opposing, if perhaps God may give them repentance for a full knowledge of the truth,

26 and they regained their senses out of the snare of the devil, being captured by him to do the will of that one.

Also, John 6:65 says no one (turns) comes ( believes) unless it is given to them by The Father.

So, What does Ezekiel 18:23,32 have to do with Free Will? Nothing, All Ezekiel 18:23,32 is saying is God does not take delight (take pleasure) (is pleased) in the death of the wicked.

Romans 9:22-23

22 But if God, desiring to display wrath, and to make His power known, endured in much long-suffering vessels of wrath having been fitted out for destruction,

Comment

YHWH (I AM) endured with much long suffering (during the process of death produced by fruit leading unto death) from the vessels of wrath fitted out for destruction.

In other words, using words similar to Ezekiel 18:23,32 He did not receive (pleasure or delight ) while enduring in much long suffering vessels of wrath (producing fruit unto death) being fitted out for destruction

Question: Is God fitting them out for destruction? If not, who is fitting them out for destruction?

Romans 9:18

LITV(i) 18 So, then, to whom He desires, He shows mercy. And to whom He desires, He hardens.

Romans 9:19

LITV(i) 19 You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will?

Romans 9:20

LITV(i) 20 Yes, rather, O man, who are you answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? Isa. 29:16

In Romans 9:23 we find at least one purpose for the vessels of wrath being fitted out for destruction

23 and that (in order that) (So that) He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,

24 whom He also called, not only us, of Jews, but also out of nations.

Question Was God ever going to give or grant repentance ( change of mind towards the true God) on these vessels of wrath fitted out for destruction (in order to) show The riches of His glory on vessels of mercy before prepared for glory? He states He had a purpose for them in Romans 9:23

Proverbs 16:4

Jehovah has made all for His purpose,
yea, even the wicked one for the day of evil things.

Psalms 5 says He hates all workers of iniquity so I would have to say he has no delight in the “Dying you shall die” of the wicked unbeliever in the Gospel of Christ

He tells them to turn in Ezekiel 18:23,32 and I would expect He will hold them accountable for not turning; (Note: They think they have Free Will. They must, because their Father is Satan and He is delusional; God’s spirit does not dwell in Satan) John 14:30 Jesus handled the situation similarly in Matthew 23:37 He held the Pharisees accountable for not turning and sending their children to Him for teaching. Romans 9:18

He desired to take their children under His wings for teaching; but they would Matthew 23:37 not send them; showing them He was holding them accountable when He told them.

The Pharisees were never planted by The Father and will be uprooted in Matthew 15:13

If they weren’t planted by God, then they must have been planted by Satan. 2 Corinthians 4:3-5 Why were they blinded to the Gospel that was able to be hidden by Satan, it was because they didn’t have the spirit in order to discern spiritual things. 1 Corinthians 2:14 Only God knows all of His elect and we only know them by whether they believe The Gospel or not.

The Gospel: God promises to save His people from their sins conditioned solely on the atoning blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ alone without any effort or work from those for whom he represented.

Comment

If you believe the Gospel of Christ, rest assured, God has worked that belief from above and caused you to hear His Word because you are His sheep. His sheep hear His voice ( Word) (understand) and they follow Him. John 10 John 6:29 Mathew 16:16-18

The fruit from this new spirit and heart from above also brings the knowledge that you have no righteousness of your own; since only God is good and that only in Jehovah do you have righteousness through Jesus Christ.

You have become a new creation in Christ Jesus. You will love Him because He first loved you, While you were yet His enemy, Christ died for you. If you love Him, you will strive to keep His commandments John 14:15 Luke 10:27 Romans 3 Isaiah 45:24

Matthew 1:21 John 6:29 John 10 John 10:26-27 John 3:3,5,8 2 Corinthians 4:6 Isaiah 45:21 Luke 18:19 Romans 3 Romans 4 Matthew 16:13

John 6:37-44 says All That The Father Gives To Jesus Will Come; and Jesus won’t lose one of them; so this account in Matthew 23:37 had nothing to do with Free Will just like Ezekiel 18:23,32.

Psalms 135:6

6 Every thing which Jehovah was pleased to do, He did, in the heavens and in the earth, and in the seas and all deep places.

Free Will was the lie spawned and part of The Serpent’s deception in the Garden of Eden which apparently was embedded in the nature of fallen man because of Adam’s imputed sin nature to his descendants ; making Satan their father. The spirit that works in the children of disobedience Ephesians 2:2 Genesis 3:1-8

The Serpent gave the delusion “ God knows in the day you eat of it, you will be like God knowing good and evil.”

Are you going to think you need God if you have the delusion? Are you going to reverence Yahweh’s Total Sovereignty and total control over His creation, listen wholeheartedly to His word and reverence His holiness and righteousness if you believe you are like God knowing Good and Evil . No, you will become the objector in Romans 9 because of your delusional Free Will. Natural man doesn’t even know the difference between good and evil. Proverbs 12:10 Romans 3:10-12 Mark 10:18

No, you will be like Him in control; but it will be a delusion in your newly found freedom running from the true God; doing your own thing. The Natural man is nothing but a helpless sinner falling short of the glory of God.

Ezekiel 18:23

Delighting, do I delight in the death of the wicked one? a statement of the Lord Jehovah. Is it not that he should turn from his ways and live?

Romans 6:20-21

20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free to righteousness.

21 Therefore what fruit did you have then over the things which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

Comment

God does not delight or take pleasure with fruit unto death

Ezekiel 18:32

For I do not have delight in the death of him who dies, a statement of the Lord Jehovah: even turn and live.

John 8:36

36 Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.

If the Son sets you free, you are a new creation free from your old life being completely controlled by your sinful desires of the flesh, practicing sin through the imputed sin of Adam.

The love of the father will be in you and you will no longer be loving the world which is ruled by Satan’s frame of reference or way of thinking. 1 John 2:16

1 John 2:15-16-17

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

because every(thing) in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

Comment

You will love Jesus because He first loved you and died for you. You will strive to keep His commandments. Love God with all your heart, mind and soul and your neighbor as yourself Matthew 22:37-39

And the world is passing away, and it’s lust. But the (one) doing the Will of God abides unto the age.

Comment

Jehovah does not delight in “Dying you shall die” Genesis 2:17 (The death) of the wicked. He hates all workers of iniquity. There is no delight in that statement of the fact, he hates sin. He doesn’t beg anyone to repent because He isn’t dependent on man. If He wants to save someone, He will.

If Jehovah desires to turn them, He will do just that; turn them. Doesn’t God correct the ones He loves? Hebrews 12:6

After all didn’t Jesus say He will not lose one of the ones the Father gives to Him but will raise him up in the last day. John 6:37-44,65

This should give you great comfort if you believe in (Good News) the Gospel of Grace. Jesus saves conditioned on His work alone and doesn’t need His people’s help. He promises to save His people Matthew 1:21 chosen from before the foundation of the world. Ephesians 1,2 Romans 8

They will all realize their righteousness is a filthy menstrual cloth and that only in Jehovah do they have righteousness Isaiah 45:25, 64:6 Luke 18:13 They will come to the knowledge of the truth and He will complete the work in His people that He starts. He works the willing and the doing for His good pleasure. Philippians 1:6 Philippians 2:13 Mark 16:16 Psalms 135:6 2 Corinthians 4:6

John 5:24

24 Truly, truly, I say to you, The one who hears My Word, and believing the One having sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Once His people are in Jesus Christ by Grace through the means of the gift of faith which is unmerited, Their salvation is certain and sure and forever secure. The Lord at His return will change the corruptible into incorruptible and sin will no longer be possible. All things will become new.

Jesus promised not to lose any that the Father gives Him; but will raise it up in the last day. Jesus always does the Will of the father. It was finished at the Cross; the debt was paid in full for His people; chosen from before the foundation of the world

That is the Good News of the Gospel of God!
