God’s Word Interprets God’s Word

Look at the parallel in 2 different books of the Bible hundreds or thousands of years apart. The parallel is in the word “light”

Isaiah 8:20

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them (KJV)

John 8:12

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The (one) following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, not ( ever) but will have the light of life

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of the world.

John 11:10

But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him.

Psalm 119:105

Nun. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Comment– Then the Faith (is) of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God. See Romans 10:17,

God’s written word is about the light of the world. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

In the beginning was the Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God. All things came into being through Him and without Him not even one (thing) came into being that has come into being .

And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth

No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is (being) in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

John 1:1-3,14,18

His sheep hear His voice; the scriptures, through reading or hearing His Word through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16

Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

John 5:39

You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me

John 5:40

And you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

John 9:5

While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 1:18

No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, being ( self existent) in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

Matthew 1:21-23

And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

And all this happened so that might be fulfilled that spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

“Behold! The virgin will conceive in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel” (which translated is, God with us). Isa. 7:14.

God, The Word, The light of the world, became incarnate.

God promises to save His people from their sins solely conditioned on the atoning shed blood 🩸 of Jesus Christ and His imputed righteousness alone.

His people were chosen unconditionally from before the foundation the world. His people were taken from every nation, even tribes, languages and peoples,

All the father gives to Jesus, Jesus will save and raise up in the last day. All His people will repent and come to the knowledge of truth of the Gospel; sometime in their lifetime before death; and be saved.

All unconditionally chosen reprobates will never come to the knowledge of truth and believe the Gospel. They will never have a desire to come to the true and living God through Jesus Christ. John 6:37-39, 2 Corinthians 4:6, Romans 9:11, 2 Corinthians 4:3-5, Luke 18:13
